Tap Shoe Blues (2017)
Tap Shoe Blues is a song that I made while I was fooling around in the studio. It’s also now a Philadelphia Real Book standard. It then became the inspiration for a 75-minute concert, in which we played that song as many different ways as we could - straight-ahead, Latin, 3/4, hard bop, free, slow shuffle. Interspersed with TSB were other blues standards from the swing, bebop and post-bebop eras, like Blues for Norman, Splanky, Mohawk and Blues in F.
